13 copyMy name is Tiffany Frias and I currently work at Novian Counseling and Neuroeducation Center. I specialize in a holistic approach to counseling, which acknowledges the mind-body connection.  I believe that each client can be empowered to make changes in their life. In my work I am often amazed and humbled by the resilience and courage of my clients.

In addition to traditional psychotherapy, I am certified in Hypnotherapy and have been trained in Integral Breath Therapy.  Breath therapy utilizes the breathing process to foster a greater mind-body connection thus often making contact with core issues. Once that contact is made, clients are able to make meaningful changes.

I am qualified to treat a variety of client issues including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, LGBTQ issues, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, identity questions, self-esteem, stress management, anger, trauma, and chronic illness.

I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Psychology. I received my graduate education at St. Mary’s University, where I earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern.  This means that I meet with a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor on a regular basis for case consultation purposes.  My supervisor is Renee Blocker Ph.D., LPC-S.  Should you need to contact my supervisor for any reason, she can be reached at 210-380-3274.

In addition to my work at Novian Counseling and Neuroeducation Center I am active in the counseling community. I am a co-founder of the SA Counselors Networking Group.  The purpose of this group is to build supportive relationships in the counseling field. I am also an active member of the American Counseling Association, Texas Counseling Association, and the South Texas Counseling Association.
